Job Description
We are looking for a Cost Accountant Analyst based in Mikulov, Czechia (full onsite role).
Key responsibilities of the role:
Product Costing
· Prepare and analyze product and manufacturing costs.
· Maintain and improve standard costing processes.
· Perform annual standard cost roll activities.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
· Monitor and analyze cost variances and plant financial performance.
· Support month-end closing and financial reporting activities.
· Prepare management reports and ad hoc financial analyses.
· Support statutory, internal, and external audit activities.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow
· Support budget preparation and forecasting activities.
· Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts.
Inventory Control
· Support inventory valuation, inventory analysis, and cycle count reviews.
· Ensure accuracy of inventory-related financial data.
Business Support & Continuous Improvement
· Provide financial support for operational and strategic projects.
· Identify risks and opportunities impacting plant financial performance.
· Support ERP enhancements, system implementations, and process improvement initiatives.
· Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and other functions to support business decision-making.
Required qualifications and experience:
- University degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar Cost Accounting, Financial Analysis, or Accounting role.
- Fluent Czech and English, both written and spoken. These languages are mandatory for this role.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling.
- Strong accounting knowledge, including cost accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to both accounting and non-accounting stakeholders.
- Hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and collaborate across multiple departments.
- Experience interacting with internal stakeholders and supporting reporting requirements
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
